From 6 June-6 July 2006, Ki Purbo Asmoro spent a month in the USA where he, along with:

  • Bp. Wakidi Dwidjomartono (kendhang)
  • Bp. Djoko Waluyo (gender)
  • Bp. I.M. Harjito (rebab)
  • Ibu Ninuk Purbo Asmoro (sindhen)
  • Kitsie Emerson (simultaneous translator of performances from Javanese to English, projected on a screen)

collaborated in six locations with local American gamelan groups.
